Privacy Policy
In short: we collect only what we need to run our games, keep your progress safe, show ads and fix bugs. Personalised ads and tracking happen only with your consent, you can delete your account and data at any time, and we never sell your personal data.
1. Who we are
This privacy policy is published by White Pants Games (“we”, “us”), an independent game developer and the publisher listed on Google Play and the Apple App Store. We are the data controller for the personal data described here. This policy applies to the following apps and to whitepantsgames.com:
- Knights of Bloom: Idle RPG (Android and iOS)
Privacy contact: info@whitepantsgames.com
2. Data we collect
Data you give us
- Account data: if you sign in (for example with Google Play Games, Game Center or Sign in with Apple), we receive a player ID and, depending on the service, your display name. We do not receive your password.
- Messages: if you contact us, your email address and the content of your message.
Data collected automatically
- Game data: your progress, heroes, currencies and settings, stored on your device and, when you are signed in, backed up on our servers so you can restore it.
- Device and technical data: device model, operating system, language, country derived from your IP address, app version and an app-specific installation ID.
- Gameplay and usage data: events such as sessions, stages reached and features used, which help us balance and improve the game.
- Crash and performance data: crash logs and diagnostics.
- Advertising data: your device’s advertising ID (Android Advertising ID or Apple IDFA) and ad interactions. On iOS we only access the IDFA if you allow tracking in Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt.
- Purchase data: what you bought, when, and the order or transaction ID. Payments are processed by Google Play or the App Store; we never receive your card or bank details.
We do not collect your precise location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone data.
3. How and why we use data
- To provide the game (contract): run the game, save and restore your progress, deliver purchases and restore them on a new device.
- To show ads (consent or legitimate interest): show ads, including rewarded ads you choose to watch. Ads are personalised only if you agree; otherwise you see non-personalised ads.
- To improve the game (consent where required, otherwise legitimate interest): understand how the game is played, balance it and fix crashes.
- To keep the game safe and fair (legitimate interest): prevent cheating, fraud and abuse.
- To support you (contract and legitimate interest): answer your questions and requests.
- To comply with the law (legal obligation): for example keeping purchase records for tax purposes.
We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
4. Service providers we share data with
We share data only with service providers that help us run the game, and only the data they need:
- App stores and payments: Google Play and the Apple App Store (downloads, purchases, crash reports).
- Sign-in: Google Play Games Services, Apple Game Center and Sign in with Apple.
- Cloud hosting: servers that store your backed-up progress and account.
- Advertising networks and mediation: to show ads and measure their performance.
- Analytics and crash reporting: to understand gameplay and fix bugs.
Every provider we work with is bound by a contract or its terms to process data only for these purposes and to protect it with the same or a higher level of protection than described in this policy. A current list of the specific providers used by each app is available on request at info@whitepantsgames.com. We may also disclose data if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our players.
5. Your choices: ads, tracking and consent
- Consent screen: in the EU, the UK and other regions where it is required, we ask for your consent before using data for personalised ads or analytics. You can change your choice at any time in the game’s settings.
- iOS: you can allow or deny tracking in the App Tracking Transparency prompt and later under Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.
- Android: you can reset or delete your advertising ID under Settings › Privacy › Ads (the path may vary by device).
Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that happened before, and you can keep playing with non-personalised ads.
6. International transfers
Some of our service providers process data outside your country, for example in the European Union or the United States. Where this happens we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and, for users in Türkiye, the transfer rules of KVKK.
7. Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), stored with providers that use industry-standard security, and accessible only to people who need it for the purposes above. No system is perfectly secure, but we keep the data we hold to the minimum we need.
8. How long we keep data
- Account and cloud save: as long as your account exists. If an account is inactive for 24 months, we may delete it.
- Analytics and advertising data: up to 14 months, then deleted or anonymised.
- Crash reports: up to 90 days.
- Purchase records: as long as tax and accounting laws require.
- Support emails: up to 24 months after our last reply.
9. Deleting your account and data
You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time:
- In the game: Settings › Account › Delete account.
- By email: write to info@whitepantsgames.com with the subject “Delete my account” and your player ID (shown in the game’s settings).
We delete the account, cloud save and linked analytics data within 30 days. Purchase records that we must keep by law are retained only for that legal period. Uninstalling the game removes the data stored on your device, but does not delete your account; please use one of the options above for that. More details: Delete your account.
10. Children
Our games are not directed at children under 13 (or the higher minimum age in your country, such as 16 in some EU countries). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we learn that we have, we delete it. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us.
11. Your rights
Depending on where you live, laws such as the EU and UK GDPR, Türkiye’s KVKK (Law No. 6698) or the California CCPA/CPRA give you the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to object to or restrict its processing, and to withdraw consent. California residents have the right to know, delete and correct personal information and to opt out of its “sharing” for cross-context behavioural advertising, which you can do by declining personalised ads in the game’s settings. We will not discriminate against you for using your rights.
To use your rights, email info@whitepantsgames.com. We answer within 30 days. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
12. This website
whitepantsgames.com uses no cookies, no analytics and no third-party scripts or fonts. Our hosting provider may briefly keep standard server logs (IP address, browser type, time of the request) to keep the site secure.
13. Changes to this policy
We will update this policy when our games or the law change, and change the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the game before it takes effect.
